Software Features

Software Overview

Digital Briefcase lets you build a content menu from your existing marketing collateral, presentations, video, images, weblinks, PDF's - in fact any digital file you have.

We prepare your Digital Briefcase in advance using your visual identity as part of the Design Process. There is no programming required to build your Digital Briefcase and it even helps to validate your project before distribution.

How it works

The Digital Briefcase Editor is where you build your project and the first screen you are presented with is the Welcome Screen: here you can create a new Digital Briefcase project, open a previous project and save your projects for later use.

Welcome Screen

Welcome Screen

The Welcome Screen, allows you to create a new Digital Briefcase project, open a previous project and save your projects for later use.

Editor Menu

Editor Panel

Then you start to build your Digital Briefcase. All the editor functionality is controlled from a WYSIWYG 'right-click' editor panel which allows you to add menu items, add files, submenus, intro animations etc - and everything is created in your visual identity. If you prefer, you can simply drag and drop files and folders onto the editor interface, and Digital Briefcase will build the menu structure for you.

Validate Project and Build Player

Once you've perfected your Digital Briefcase, you then validate your project, this 'collects' all of your digital files into a single location, so that any PDF's that were on a network drive will be copied locally to your desktop. If a file is missing Digital Briefcase will notify you, ensuring that your menu does not contain missing files when you distribute it.

The next step is to build a Digital Briefcase Player, this creates a Run-Time Application which is locked down so no further edits are possible, you can therefore freely distribute to others.

Using the Burn to CD function uses your local CD or DVD burner device to make an auto-run data disc of your Digital Briefcase in just one click.

Standard Features

Add menu item

The heart of Digital Briefcase, this allows you to add items to
the menu system. Link directly to single files, like PowerPoint
presentations, spread sheets, Word documents and videos,
or navigate to a web address, group of files or import a folder
and all of its sub-folders. Once on the menu, simply click the
menu item to launch the file in its associated application.

Drag and Drop

Quickly build complete presentations from existing content
dragging files directly to the menu. Digital Briefcase names
the button with the filename and updates the icon. Once
the menu, items can be dragged to reorder them.
If a folder is dragged to the menu then Digital briefcase
automatically create its content as a menu system, including
any folders, allowing instant deep structure creation.

Drag and Drop item re-ordering You can re-order menus and files automatically in alphabetical order or re-order items manually (as above)
